WAYEDEFO focuses on the two support pillars of families in the Rubirizi District in Uganda: women and youth. These two groups have so far lagged behind in the developments in the region. Men face a high risk of death during hunting or drowning while fishing in crater lakes. Others leave their wives and children. Women are the support pillars of many families. However, women and girls are not yet emancipated. The organization started activities in Rubirizi District but plans to eventually cover as large an area as possible in Uganda.

The population in western Uganda lives amid protected areas such as Karinju forest and Queen Elizabeth National Park. For a long time, the primary sources of both food and income were fishing and hunting. However, the government has banned and declared these activities illegal to preserve the ecosystem. This left agriculture as the most feasible option for income. Although the volcanic soil in this area is somewhat fertile, the high population density and poor farming methods make agriculture less productive than it could be. This means families cannot afford basic needs such as food, education, and medical services. The lack of access to education and medical services reinforces the low standard of living and allows the rapid spread of diseases, especially HIV/AIDS. As a result, many families have lost one or both parents. If one, often the father.

No. You pay exactly the same amount as if you went directly to the store's website.

Why would the brands pay for the donation?

The brands reward us every time we bring a customer to their website, and we share the commission we receive as a donation to your chosen cause. The funds come from their marketing budget, similar to what they'd spend on online ads.

Brands don't pay anything upfront; they only pay a commission after a purchase has been made. Each brand sets its own commission rate.

Can I even save money when using ShopDonation?

Do you sell my data to commercial parties?

A regular shopper generates around $5 per month on average, comparable to a regular monthly donor but without the recruitment costs. Businesses can generate between $100 and $500 per month. Our top shoppers have raised more than $2,000 for their cause in a few years.

What if I see a brand that I don't like on your website?

Causes can disable any brand for their shoppers. Ask the cause to disable the brand; it will then no longer appear when that cause is selected.
